Dr. Evans' Inauguration

Bloomfield College will celebrate its past, present, and future during the Inauguration of President Marcheta P. Evans, Ph.D., on Friday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Bloomfield High School’s Doris E. Gilbert Auditorium, located at 160 Broad Street in Bloomfield.

Tyra Brooks '22, Anthony Bonacci '21, and Carla Lopez '20, share why they are excited for their college's next era and why they plan to attend Inauguration in this video.

Dr. Evans became the 17th President of Bloomfield College on June 1. She is the first woman and African-American to hold this title in the College’s 151-year history. A true trailblazer, Dr. Evans has served in transformational leadership roles in higher education for 25 years at both public and private institutions, with 20 of those years at Minority Serving Institutions.

You are cordially invited to attend. To register, and to learn more about the day, please visit the official inaugration webpage.

The video was filmed on campus by communications professor, Esther Dillard; directed by Alicia Cook, Director of Institutional Communications, with assistance from Patrick Vera, Development Coordinator; and produced by Matt Shillitani, Webmaster.
