Bloomfield College held its annual Scholarship Brunch on Saturday, March 18, at the Forest Hill Field Club to celebrate 2018-2019 scholarship recipients.

"We have very big expectations for the incoming class due to the record-breaking number of applications we have received,” said Adam Castro, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “The enormously successful Scholarship Brunch was a great milestone that demonstrated how Bloomfield College is becoming a destination institution for extremely talented students across all academic disciplines.”

The room was packed with smiling faces, including 71 admitted students and their guests, Trustees, alumni, faculty, staff, and current students. College President, Richard A. Levao; Vice President for Enrollment Management, Adam Castro; and Director of Admission Nicole Cibelli provided remarks. Carlos Rodriguez, a junior at the College, reflected on what Bloomfield College means to him.

“Attending Bloomfield College is the best decision I’ve ever made. Every day I get to go to a place that offers a tight-knit, diverse campus community in which no day is boring. I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime, and bonds with professors that can only be created from the one-on-one attention you receive at Bloomfield College,” said Rodriguez. “Receiving my scholarship was such a celebratory moment in my life, as I hope it is for you. It has opened the doors to endless possibilities and encourages me every day to continue striving to reach my fullest potential.”

Admitted students who received the Trustee, Presidential, or Transfer scholarship from Bloomfield College were invited to the Brunch. Admitted students who participated in RaiseMe were also invited. Each student was awarded a certificate during the event.

“Scholarship Brunch is important because students and their families need to know that their hard work has paid off and they will be a valued member of our community,” said Castro. “We had an amazing time honoring them and I can't wait to see the great things they do at Bloomfield College come the fall."
